On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Diamond Shores was proud to participate as a large table sponsor of the Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) Gala benefiting Habitat for Humanity for Georgetown County. Several members of the Diamond Shores team attended the event, joining real estate professionals, business leaders, community partners, and supporters from across the Grand Strand for an evening dedicated to an important local cause.
Held at 21 Main at North Beach in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the 2026 Gala brought a little Las Vegas excitement to the Grand Strand with a festive Casino Night theme. Guests enjoyed dinner, drinks, dancing, a silent auction, casino-style entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to connect — all while helping support Habitat for Humanity and its work to expand access to safe and affordable housing in Georgetown County.

Habitat's work in Georgetown County extends beyond constructing new homes. The organization also provides programs designed to preserve existing housing and help residents remain safely in their homes.
Through its Critical Home Repair Program, Habitat assists qualifying homeowners with important needs such as roof replacements and accessibility improvements. Habitat also continues to explore innovative affordable-housing solutions designed to address the unique needs of Georgetown County residents.
A Hand Up Through Affordable Homeownership
Habitat for Humanity's homeownership model is designed to create sustainable opportunities for qualifying families. Habitat homes are constructed with significant volunteer support and are sold to qualifying homeowners through affordable, no-profit mortgages. Future Habitat homeowners also invest their own time into the process through "sweat equity," working alongside volunteers and participating in the journey toward homeownership. It is a community effort in the truest sense: local families, volunteers, donors, businesses, and organizations working together to create something that can have an impact for generations. That philosophy strongly resonates with us at Diamond Shores.
